INSA has been in Australia for a few weeks now, you can follow some of his adventures here on instagram.

Iv’e loved what he has been doing with his patented GIF-iti technique so when he asked me to make one with him I thought great! until I realised I had to paint the same thing in the exact same place 4 times!

A lot of hard work for 600 pixel looping animation but I’m stoked with the way it came out.

I learnt how he paints with colour and he learnt how I paint to a huge scale. Almost immediately we were mimicking each other techniques so it’s impossible to say who did what on this wall.

The wall is a dedication to a local beauty Shanna, and the partner of Kamea, so this definitely put him in the good books : )

Kaka’ako is the name of the area where Pow Wow is located so we thought it would be cool to make a landmark piece with a bit of a 80′s style.

Very Nearly Almost is proud to release its twenty-first issue. And it’s pretty special being the first to have a female as a cover artist; and who better to take this highly coveted position than the queen of street art herself Miss Van.

Her beautiful hand-painted “poupees” and vivid sexual creatures have been capturing the hearts of art lovers and for years and after a brief hiatus from working on the streets, she’s back in full force. We caught up with her to delve a little deeper into the mind of a lady who has blazed a trail through this macho graffiti world.

This issue is bursting with interviews – from the Ever-Fresh crew member Rone, monochromatic illustrative master Joe Fenton and street art new-comer NoseGo. We also have pearls of wisdom from those who have been on the scene since its inception, like Inkie, photographer Alex Fakso and Canadian artist Johnny Crap who also took the time to design our latest subscriber t-shirt . We caught up with a few other influential ladies including graffiti artist Mad-C and stencilist Amanda Marie, as well as illustrative duo Wurstbande from Berlin. There’s also something a bit different from another duo, husband and wife Dal & Faith47 who chose to interview each other.
